A service, based on Netapp's BlueXp Classification (DataSense), that scans, analyzes and categorizes large volumes of data.
BlueXp Classification, allows you to meet the requirements of the LOPD and the RGPD by assessing the sensitivity of your data.
You can work with:
- Structured and unstructured data sources.
- Databases: Amazon RDS, MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA, SQL Server.
- Work environments: Cloud Volumes ONTAP (deployed in AWS, Azure, or GCP), On-premises ONTAP clusters, Azure Netapp Files, Amazon FSx for ONTAP and Amazon S3. BlueXp Classification, allows you to meet the requirements of the LOPD and the RGPD by assessing the sensitivity of your data.

It scans data from volumes, buckets, databases and other storage accounts and indexes the data found. BlueXP Classification leverages both artificial intelligence and natural language processing, unlike alternative solutions that are commonly built around regular expressions and pattern matching. BlueXP classification uses AI to provide contextual understanding of data for accurate detection and classification. It is AI-driven because it is designed for modern data types and scale. It also understands the context of the data to provide strong and accurate discovery and classification.
You can scan data from work environments that you have added to BlueXP Canvas and from many types of structured and unstructured data sources that BlueXP Classification can access through its networks.

BlueXP classification supports NFS versions 3.x, 4.0, and 4.1, and CIFS versions 1.x, 2.0, 2.1, and 3.0.
Data changes frequently, so BlueXP classification scans continuously without affecting your data. While the initial scan of your data may take longer, subsequent scans only scan incremental changes, reducing system scan times.
No. Private data sent between your browser and the BlueXP Clasification instance is protected with end-to-end encryption, which means that NetApp/Uniway and third parties cannot read it. BlueXP Clasification will not share any data or results with NetApp/Uniway unless you request and approve access.
